Following on from his great full band show here (along with fellow finalist from THE VOICE Austin Jenckes) Pounds returns with this month long Wednesday night residency – a series of intimate solo shows presaging a full band CD release show here later in the year. For those who don’t know (come on now, pay attention!), Pounds is a hugely promising Texas singer-songwriter who mines a deep seam of old and new country songcraft. Blessed with an effortlessly easy and plangently emotive sound, full of grit and guts and heart and soul. And yeah, he was a finalist on Season 5 of The Voice (team Blake). The guy’s going places!
